02/10/06 CAUTION: THIS SANDPIT IS CHANGING BY THE HOUR (ALMOST)'''
This section and the pages to which it links are for experimentation only, while we work out the best way to organise Phoebe and set up paths through its content. However, please feel free to explore them anyway and let us know what you think. The navigation is being constructed broadly along the lines of the diagram on the ContentMap page.
Entry points into Phoebe
The following headings are what we see as the key 'divisions' of the planning process. However, teachers are free to explore the material behind these headings in any order they like.
Contextual Information: What is the title of the learning session, who is teaching it, and when and where is it taking place?
Curriculum, Learning Outcomes: What is the purpose of this learning session?
The Learners: How many students are there? Do they have any special requirements?
Your Teaching Style: How do you envisage your role as teacher/tutor/facilitator of this learning session?
The Learning Activities: What do you want your students to do, and what sort of technologies might support them?
Tools and Technologies: Given a particular piece of technology, what sort of learning activities and learning outcomes can it support?
Contingency Plan: What will you do if the learning session doesn't go according to plan?
Thoughts after the Event: What went well in the learning session? What didn't go so well? How did the students react to it? What do you want to change for next time?
Ouch, there's sand in my eyes!
Problems that crop up as the sandcastle grows higher and more complex...
3/10 Is a glossary possible?
3/10 need to be able to display 'pop-up' windows -- with predefined size (allow scrolling though) and ability to suppress navigation bar for some of them.
3/10 Problem with tagging: Tags are attached to pages, yet we may want to tag sections within pages in order to minimise the frequency of moving from one page to the next. Would pop-ups solve this dilemmma?
3/10 Relationships between pages of activity sequences and pages of activities. Keep them separate, but with links???? (Issue here is that of notes -- will they be happy with separate pages for a) the activity sequence as a whole and b) the individual activities (one per page -- but this won't be possible if they have the same activity more than once in the session)?
